Madison Wins at the Last Minute

Picture this. Mark Weber, Friday evening, looks at his calendar. He has ONE open Sunday. And the first thing that pops into his head? "Let's have a Casper Race!". So, we did! With a couple of frantic e-mail's and garage cleaning, Mark hosted the first annual "Last Minute Regatta" for the Casper-Prop series.

The quote of the day? Lori Weber. "Hank..this lake has spent more time in my garage then my car." Of course, that sparked the debate of "garage vs. shop", but that's another story.

It was another victory for Kathy Shuler and her "Miss Madison", making it two for two in the 2002 season. In a manly sport such as Casper racing, it may be a tough pill to swallow for the average guy. Casper-Prop officials are already considering "slowing down" the Madison. One official, who agreed to speak off the record, suggested mandatory spraying of "electric motor cleaner", sometimes called "Go Juice". This is the same stuff that melted Jeff Dunn's Harrah's Club. The Casper-Prop Competition Committee will probably have a meeting some day, maybe, and they might discuss the topic...or not.
